ABOUT ME

Mitchell Seltzer is currently in his 5th year of study in the Architectural Engineering Program at the Pennsylvania State University. In May of 2019, he will graduate with a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering degree, with a focus in mechanical systems. Mr. Seltzer is in a number of professional and student organizations including the student chapter of American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers, the Student Society of Architectural Engineers, as well as being the officer position of professional relations for the student chapter of United States Green Building Council.

 

During the past summer, Mr. Seltzer participated in a mechanical engineering internship with Barton Associates, a consulting engineering firm focused in the mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection fields. During the summer of 2017, Mr. Seltzer studied in Rome, Italy on a study abroad program conducted by the Architectural Engineering department. These opportunities provided him with beneficial experience with design, strategy, and different styles of building. Mr. Seltzer Plans to get his PE in the near future. Mr. Seltzer looks forward to beginning work as a mechanical engineer for an AE firm to acquire knowledge and hands on experience in the mechanical engineering profession and to obtain his license as a Professional Engineer.

 

Outside of Architectural Engineering, Mr. Seltzer is highly involved in university activities. He has been a member of numerous clubs including the red cross club, the Penn State Student Car Club, and the winemaking club. Mr. Seltzer also enjoys sailing, kayaking, biking, motorcycling, and flying small planes.
